My name is Pattie and I am an award winning photographer, artist …and a proud Mum of two. My own children are my greatest inspiration. I love taking pictures of them and being able to enjoy the happy moments once again while looking at the photographs.

I have been working with art, photography and video making for over ten years. After completing my BA and MA degree in Media Production, I worked as a freelance photographer and then spent four years teaching Media Production (including photography) at the University of the West of England. I have featured in art exhibitions, and assisted multiple art projects. At the moment, several of my portraits are graded at national awards.
Having my first baby inspired me and redirected my career. I realised how much I love taking pictures of her to capture how she grows, and to show who she really is. I wanted to share my talent and passion with other parents, helping them to capture their precious family moments. This started PolkaDots Photography.
I love working with children, especially with babies. They always amaze. Each child is unique, and I love capturing their individual beauty. I am formally trained and experienced in working with children and posing newborns, and I’m fully hands on. I prioritise the baby’s safety and would never perform any risky activities in my photo sessions.
